Purification System
A complete commercial multi-stage RO / DI water production, purification and storage system
Designed to automatically produce, polish, monitor and store high-purity water using reverse osmosis, deionisation, UV treatment, silica filtration, multi-stage polishing and high-pressure pumping.

Offered for sale is a substantial custom-built commercial reverse osmosis and deionised water purification system, designed as an integrated automated water-treatment plant rather than a single filtration unit. The system has now been dismantled and is held in storage in County Durham.

The complete installation combines pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, deionisation, water polishing, UV purification, silica filtration, water-quality monitoring, high-pressure pumping and approximately 6,000 litres of total storage capacity.

The system is capable of producing approximately 1,200 litres of RO/DI water per day, depending on incoming water quality, pressure, temperature, filter condition, membrane condition, resin condition and operating parameters.

Potential applications include commercial window cleaning, vehicle detailing, manufacturing, laboratories, aquariums, hydroponics, controlled-environment agriculture, precision rinsing, specialist horticulture and other processes requiring purified or low-conductivity water.

6 × 1,000L IBC Storage Tanks

The installation includes 6 × 1,000-litre IBC tanks, providing approximately 6,000 litres total storage capacity.

The multiple-tank arrangement allows water to be staged, transferred or stored at different points within the purification process depending on the configured operating method.

A substantial steel IBC support frame is also included, measuring approximately 300cm × 120cm.

6-Stage Reverse Osmosis Filtration

The primary purification stage includes a 6-stage cartridge-filter reverse-osmosis filtration unit.

This system provides staged pre-filtration before reverse osmosis treatment, reducing contaminants and dissolved solids before the water progresses through the additional deionisation, UV and polishing stages.

3-Stage Deionisation Resin Filtration

Following reverse osmosis, the system incorporates a 3-stage resin-filter deionisation system.

This provides an additional purification stage intended to remove remaining dissolved ionic contaminants and further reduce conductivity/TDS, subject to resin condition, configuration and incoming water quality.

Water Polishing & UV Purification
  • 1 × 5-stage final water-polishing unit with integrated UV light
  • 1 × 3-stage pre-water-polishing unit
  • 1 × high-pressure commercial UV water-purification unit

These additional treatment stages provide further polishing and UV treatment beyond the main RO and DI processes, creating a comprehensive multi-stage purification system.

High-Pressure Silica Filtration With Auto-Clean

Included is a high-pressure silica-media water-filtration unit with automatic cleaning function.

This forms part of the pre-treatment infrastructure and is designed to help remove suspended contaminants before water progresses through finer treatment stages.

Automated Water Production & Transfer

The system was designed to operate as a largely automated water-production and storage installation.

Water can be processed through the filtration stages and transferred between the integrated storage tanks using the installed pumps, valves, controls and associated infrastructure.

The system includes 4 × high-pressure water pumps used throughout the filtration, transfer and pressure-management stages.

2 × Inline Water Heaters

The installation includes 2 × inline water heaters, allowing water temperature to be managed where required within the treatment process.

Water temperature can influence RO membrane performance and production efficiency, making temperature management useful in some operating conditions.

Inline Water-Quality Monitoring

Included is 1 × inline water-quality monitoring meter capable of providing up to 8 water-quality readings / monitoring values, subject to configuration and calibration.

This allows the operator to monitor water quality and assess purification performance across the system.

Optional 150-Litre/Day Distilled Water Upgrade
A separate commercial distilled-water production unit capable of producing approximately 150 litres per day is available by separate negotiation at additional cost. The distillation unit can be integrated as an additional purification stage after RO/DI treatment.

When combined with the main system, purified DI water can be further processed through distillation to create an additional high-purity treatment stage:

PRE-FILTRATION → REVERSE OSMOSIS → DEIONISATION → POLISHING / UV → OPTIONAL DISTILLATION

This optional configuration may be useful for applications requiring water that has undergone multiple independent purification processes.

Important: The approx. 150L/day distillation unit is NOT INCLUDED in the advertised Buy It Now price. It can be discussed and added separately at additional cost.

Condition

This is used specialist commercial water-treatment equipment. The system has previously been installed and operated and therefore shows normal signs of commercial use, including cosmetic marks, water staining, surface marks, pipework wear and general signs of previous operation.

Filters, RO membranes, DI resin, UV lamps and other filtration media should be treated as service/consumable items.

Following relocation, the buyer should expect to carry out appropriate cleaning, flushing, sanitising, leak testing, filter/media inspection or replacement, membrane/resin checks, UV-lamp inspection, pump testing, meter calibration, electrical testing and recommissioning as required.

Important Water-Quality Information
No claim is made that the system automatically produces potable, pharmaceutical, laboratory-grade or otherwise certified water. The buyer is responsible for independently testing final treated water and ensuring it meets the specification required for the intended application. Actual production rate and final water quality depend on incoming water conditions, consumable condition, membranes, resin, UV performance and correct system configuration.
Storage Viewing Recommended

The system is now dismantled and stored in County Durham. Serious buyers are encouraged to inspect the stored components by prior appointment, confirm the included filtration stages, pumps, IBC tanks, controls, pipework and associated equipment, and discuss transport and recommissioning requirements before purchase. The system cannot presently be viewed assembled or operating.

Dismantled, Stored & Ready for Collection
Currently held in storage in County Durham

The system has already been dismantled and placed into storage in County Durham. The filtration stages, pumps, IBC tanks, controls, pipework and associated components are no longer assembled as an operating installation.

Prospective buyers should satisfy themselves as to the stored inventory, component condition, loading arrangements, transport requirements and the work required for reassembly and recommissioning.

Optional Reinstallation & Recommissioning

Subject to location, access, site suitability and prior agreement, unpacking, reassembly, reconnection, leak testing and basic recommissioning at the buyer’s new location may also be available at additional cost.

Consumables, replacement membranes, filters, resin, UV lamps, electrical works, certification and independent water-quality testing are not included unless specifically agreed within a separate quotation.

Important Information
The system is currently dismantled and held in storage in County Durham and cannot be viewed operating. All capacities and production figures are approximate and should be independently verified where critical. Approx. 1,200L/day production depends on system condition and operating variables. Approx. 6,000L refers to total nominal storage capacity of the six 1,000L IBC tanks. The optional approx. 150L/day distilled-water unit is available separately and is not included in the advertised price.
